Suddenly it was spring, her fairy tales had begun to come alive. The wall paper, yellow and faded down those long hallways, they began to dance.
The gardenias whistled through the fields, and the oak trees began to chant.
The air wasn’t as solemn as it used to be. What once was white and grey, was now as bright as a citrus disk sunset.
The jaded blue skies arose with the morning, and so did our passions. Strawberry fields were blooming and thorns grew thick among the brush.
The nights were as dark as ever, all except for the fireflies… They drove through the skies like the chemtrails of fighter jets. The stars exposed images most people only saw revealed through dreams.
And he thought to himself, as he stared off into the deep plains of the mystic: A Southern girl could never understand the Northern lights.
