All at once, the emotions came bearing down, gripping the sides of his face. His torso felt emasculated, torn apart and drained.
Lost in the hallways of his mind, he knew something was missing. The seasons were lulling, something temperate about the weather was beginning to define contentment. When everything stands still, the trees no longer shake with brisk desire, and the rays of the sun remain swollen, consistently.
Like a heavyweight fight, he fought back the sentiments of having longed for something he so dearly missed. The love of his family, of his childhood, for a lover?
To find tranquilization, he stood along the boundaries of the harbor-side, cursing out at the waves. Wishing for something to keep moving, for something to stay the same.
